For over 40 years Russell W. Tarlton, Inc. has served the Triangle area. American Soil & Mulch is family owned and operated, and promise to continue serving you with the same great products and service you expect. Here is a little bit of information about us.

We were the first company to offer screened topsoil in the Triangle. Our original location was directly across from the North Carolina State Fairgrounds. We are now in Cary, North Carolina on Highway 55 directly across the road from the big blue Cary Water Tower. We are also just minutes from I-540 and North Raleigh.

Our philosophy is simple.  We want to work hard to ensure you get the best results.  Our staff is eager to serve you.  We invite you to come and visit us to see first hand the high quality of our soils, mulches and natural stone products.

Meet Our Staff

Joan

Joan is a valuable asset to the American Soil & Mulch team. She excels in inter-personal communication and enjoys working with the public. She has lived all over the United States, Brazil and France, and has benefitted from living in different cultures and from meeting people all over the world.   Joan possesses a down-to-earth humor, and is very good-natured and easy to get along with.  She strives to help her customers plant the Triangle “green”, and for them to be satisfied with American Soil & Mulch's superior products.  Joan enjoys her work because it is in a relaxed, informal atmosphere; plus, she sincerely wants to help the public learn about all of AS&M products, and how they can make the environment safe and healthy through using our all-natural products.

Joron

Joron Davis was born and raised in Louisburg, NC. He delivers products for American Soil & Mulch all over our delivery area. Joron is a dedicated employee. We are very proud of his constant ability to go above and beyond whenever needed!  Chances are that you will have the opportunity to meet Joron on one of your next deliveries.

Maria

Maria meets and interacts with our best customers constantly. She is always courteous and very knowledgeable regarding products and recommendations. You can meet Maria working in our front office, ready to assist you.
